I know in PIP I can change the Scale and the location on the screen and the X axis and the Y axis......But how can I change the Z axis? Is there another place in Power Director 13 to change the Z axis?

As far as I know PD13, has Z axis only Title Designer, 3D mode.

Is there a plug-in that works with Powder Director 13 that the Z axis can be controlled on PIP?

Interesting question. Why do you want to change the z-axis? I could only think that you are working with 3D and want the PIP to look as if it were further in the background. .

Look at all your PIP effects on TV. They have at least one tilted on the Z axis about 30 degrees to put more or larger PIP's on the screen next to it.

Even CyberLink's intro's do the same with the "Cyberlink TV Screen" PIP at an angle with the Z axis moved.

It's just more visually attractive than plain old flat PIP's

I was thinking that the z-axis was the depth so the comment about 3D.

Now it sounds like you are talking about overlays and rotations about the x-y axis.

Anything added to a higher number track will "overlay" the track above it. As an overlay, you can change the rotation.

Or do I still not understand the question/want? .

Please look at this Tutorial:
http://directorzone.cyberlink.com/tutorial/pdr/

At 16 seconds the PIP's are moved in scale, X axis, and Z axis.

I just want static Z axis shifted PIP's at one scale. Of course I would change the X, Y to position it on the screen.

I thank you so far in your trying to help me. Sometimes it is hard to convey a thought in words. I hope the Tutorial helps in understanding on what I would like to do.

Which of the tutorials are you pointing to on that page ?

I'm not quite sure what you're after, but have a feeling
free-form tool and keyframing may help you some.
If I "get it" I might be able to help you...........

Never heard of the z-axis. Look at this video where an object appears as a dot on the horizon comes out and lands at your feet. Is this something you wanted to accomplish with creating a motion object?

See the attached video.

I'm not at all sure what you are looking for, so at this time it's only guessing.
I do think, though, you could be wanting something that can be done by
working with opacity, scale and position in Modify.

I'm sorry for a bad audio on top of a harsh cold I have at the moment,
but maybe this is something that can give you an idea?

Edit: I posted the wrong video......good heavens......

I see what you mean now, and you go about it with scale and position in Modify.
You will, of course, have to use 1 track for each PiP.

Sorry about the link. It was 16 seconds into the MultiCam Editing tutorial that shows what I what. But instead of a motion PIP I want static ones.

Ok I went into Power Director 13 and used the Modify function. There is a feature to called rotate in there. It only rotates the X axis. I wish to rotate the Y axis.

Thank You so much! I completely forgot about the PIP Designer and grabbing that small blue square. That might just do it. I feel so embarrassed now.
