Can PDR13 output a sequence of images?

I have been looking for a reason to upgrade from PowerDirector12 to 13

One of the reasons would be, if PDR13 could output a video as an image sequence (for example, after compiling a project that is 1000 frames long, can it produce an output of 1000 PNG files (in order, as separate frames)).

I am currently using Sony's Vegas Movie Studio, as it does this - but of course, it would add to PowerDirector's competitiveness in the area if it was possible (or added in the future... hmm perhaps I'll submit this as a suggestion if it is not).

Thanks

Hi Troy -

No - PDR cannot output/export a sequence of image files, except by taking a snapshot of every frame. I've done this for short (5 seconds) looping animation sequences, but it'd be stretching it to do 1000 frames!

I have used other software for frame extraction - some free & some not. Video Image Master - http://www.a4video.com/ - is my "go to". It does a superb job.

Yes - it might be worth putting it as a suggestion!

Cheers - Tony

Thanks, Tony

Yes, that would be a lot of snapshots hehe

Good suggestion on the app - I also found out that Blender (a 3D rendering program that can do frame sequence output) has basic video editing, so it can import a rendered video and output it as PNGs/etc - also for free (open source I believe)

Suggestion submitted

Thanks again for the info and take care,
~Troy
