How do you make a custom Water Mark for use in export

I would like to add a custom water mark for my photos while using PhotoDirector 6. I know how to add a watermark but the default watermarks that come with the "kit" all give Photodirector a credit, all except the very first option which is apparently , taking my name from the META data tick box option. These files are stored in the Water Mark folder in PhotoDirector Presets but they are .pdwmk files! I've tried making a .png file then changing its name but it doesn't work.
Any suggestions please? I just want to edit and make pictures, walk my dog and go fishing.

Do you own Photo Director? You can make a watermark in Watermark "designer". You should then be able to edit it to make the background transparent and add it to the video -- I think that is where you are trying to add the watermark. .
.

Anything I post unless stated with a reference is my personal opinion.

Hi stevek, thanks for your reply.
I do have Director Suite 3, it's a brilliant package. Does Watermark Designer create files that are classed as ".pdwmk" files as used in Photodirector?
I generally use .png files for transparent background use but these won't work. I do use another program that creates simple watermarks but I felt that PhotoDirector has more to offer as a photo editor.

Hello Kyle,

We have to assume that BarryTheCrab's assessment is correct since CDR has no facility to add watermarks, so I've moved the thread.

It sounds a little like you may be "over thinking" this one. Once you have created your logo as a .png (as you have) it's easy to import it to add to your watermark & save as a template if you wish.

Are you using Watermark Creator or Watermark Templates? What exactly would you like included in your watermark?

Thanks for your help Pix,
Yes, I reckon I had too many coffees while pondering this one . It's so easy to create a watermark.

Getting back to your original question, KIyle, one thing PhotoDirector doesn't do so well is preparing and assembling graphics.

It is possible to make a logo, or something similar, in PhD using the background removal tool and photo composer, but deicated graphics software will accomplish the task much more easily.
