Which NVIDIA Driver Should I Use?

I am trying to determine which NVIDIA viceo driver I shouod use with Powerdirector 13? I am running a core i7 with a 680 gtx.

The reason I ask is because I have come across conflicting information about the correct driver version to use with Powerdirector 13. In the FAQ, it says to use the latest NVIDIA driver; however, I have also come across this statement in a few places:

"PLEASE NOTE: For users of NVIDIA cards who have updated to graphics driver 340.43 or later, the video hardware acceleration feature in PowerDirector is no longer available. To re-enable hardware acceleration, please download and install an earlier driver."

Despite my system's powerful specs, editing video is a very sluggish process. I'm wondering if I need to rollback my video driver because I ak currently using the latest NVIDIA driver.

Thank you for the assistance!

That doesn't apply anymore to cards 600 series or newer. Use the latest driver.

Thanks, SoNic67, for your response.

Any idea why my system is sluggish, then, when using PowerDirector 13 even though I have good specs (core i7, 680 GTX, 8GB RAM, SSD, all latest drivers)? I play plenty of games on my system with no issue.

Are there other factor(s) which could contribute to sluggish performance? Perhaps I need to adjust a specific setting within PowerDirector.

Thanks for the assistance!

So I rolled back my NVIDIA driver to the May, 2014 driver and PowerDirector 13 now works like butter.

There is definitely something not compatible with the latest NVIDIA driver and PowerDirector 13. I'll have to keep experimenting with other drivers to see if I can pin this down.

Is anyone else experiencing slow down with PowerDirector 13 and the latest NVIDIA drivers for desktop D

Nope, latest driver works fine here.

Exactly same for me. Rolled back driver and is much better. Using a GeForce GTX 870M
