I just purchased a second hard drive. It is 7200 rpm and 3TB. Currently I have all my video stored on the main drive which is partitioned. The operating system (windows 7) being separated from everything else.
Should I move all my video, pictures, and music to the second drive? It is a external drive with usb 3 connection. Is there any disadvantage to doing this?

thanks,

HT Windows 10 professional
HP Omen Obelisk DT 875-1131
Intel Core i7(3.6GHz)
Eight Core
Memory 32 GB
GPU Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super
Power supply 750 Watt

Using PD 11 ultimate build 11.0.03026

I use an external for backing up my main HDD. Work is done on my internals 1 SSD for OS and 3x1TB in RAID5 (total usable 2TB) - I have a desktop with lots of space.

Partition your 2nd HDD and move all but the PD13 program files to it.
Put your raw video into one of those partitions, use an other partition for import, export, shadow files , produce files etc

You might even consider a clean install.

It should speed your editing up and make it easier to manage your files.
