Video Bitrate

How do you set the video bitrate of your produced videos for uploading?
[Post New]
You set it up before producing...

How?

In PD first you do editing, then advances to Produce, there you choose one profile according to the final destination.
Also, you can proceed to Creat Disc case will make a DVD-video or BluRay.

welcome to forum.

Quote: which one would I use for a bitrate of 4500 Kbps

attachment is in PD12 but creating custom profile is same as all of the PD family.
go to Produce after the Edit, pick your file format and the resolution,
my example is 720 HD because you wanted the video bitrate at 4.5Mb/sec.
FHD 1080's min is 6000Kb/sec or 6Mb/sec.

I think that is what you wanted???

Hi able2 -

You need to provide a bit more information.

You want a VBR of 4.5MBps. What format? MPEG-4? WMV? What resolution? 1080? 720? smaller?

What do you mean by "It wouldn't play"? Did the video produce? What does it do?

Cheers - Tony

This is what I am talking about:

Live encoder settings, bitrates and resolutions
Video resolution

Based on your available outbound bandwidth, choose the one highest quality from below that you can reliably stream. Remember to account for your backup stream. YouTube will automatically create all of the lower qualities.

Example: If you have 10M dedicated bandwidth for your encoder, you could safely choose to stream 720p quality. 4M for primary encoder, 4M for backup encoder, with room for overhead.

1080p
Resolution
1920x1080
Video Bitrates
Maximum 6000 Kbps
Recommended 4500 Kbps
Minimum 3000 Kbps
720p
480p
360p
240p
Encoder settings

Protocol: RTMP Flash Streaming
Video codec: H.264, 4.1
Frame rate: up to 60 fps
Keyframe frequency: do not exceed 4 seconds
Audio codec: AAC or MP3
Bitrate encoding: CBR
Recommended advanced settings

Pixel aspect ratio: Square
Frame types: Progressive Scan, 2 B-Frames, 1 Reference Frame
Entropy coding: CABAC
Audio sample rate: 44.1 KHz
Audio bitrate: 128 Kbps stereo

OK - you're uploading to YouTube and you want the video to be suitable for streaming to mobile devices. Yes?

I'm surprised the steps PepsiMan showed in the screen capture didn't get you the result you were after!

There's a screenshot attached showing how it looks in PDR13 (slightly different layout).

Many of the tutorials we upload to YouTube are similar - MPEG-4 720p @ 6-10MBps... and they play fine! and stream well too.

Cheers - Tony
