PD feature suggestion - video 'mute'

I use the clip audio mute feature all the time. I just figured out how to use the opacity of the clip to switch between multi camera angles, while maintaining both clips, but it would be nice if there was an option to toggle opacity in the menu, rather than having to open the PIP dialogue box.

Just saying

Unless something has changed in 13 there is a way. Maybe I misunstood the point, but look to the left side of the video track. By the way, there is a sticky post for suggestions. __________________________________

Opacity can be altered via The track already without continual referral back to the Modify/PiP Designer. Just use the tools provided in the Track once the Fade options have been initiated/checked.

Fade in or out doesn't necessarily have to be, opacity can be changed through toggling the positions.

I hope the info helps.

i was not clear...

I don't want to video mute the entire track (that is the check box on the left), I only want to video mute a clip that is on the track. If there is a menu item for that, I would love to know about it.

I'll look at the last suggestion as well.

Option: When I have a clip you just want the audio, I Unlink audio and video, delete the video, works for me. AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3

Video mute is the wrong term for what you want to do. It means to mute the audio of the video. See these links: https://wevideo.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/1072158-how-do-i-mute-audio-or-video-tracks- and this one: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/video-mute/id820647150?mt=8

There is a thin horizontal white line which is the opacity slider about 1/8" or 2 millimeter down from the top of each clip. If you are trying to make a video portion on a clip visable or not visable then try this:
1. Highlight the clip. Place the cursor on that clip and slowly move up until it becomes a double headed arrow. You should see that opacity is set at 100%.
2. Click and drag the line downward to 0 Opacity or anything in between.
3. To reverse it, just do the opposite.

Let us know if this is what you want.
