Hello I spent 15 hours syncing all my movies videos and pictures to PowerDVD 14 everything went fine all my media was added displayed properly and played without any problems. When I closed PowerDVD and restarted it later nothing would display under the Movies menu. I checked the settings and my Movie folder was still there but nothing displays. My pictures and videos are still there and work great but no movies. I uninstalled PowerDVD reinstalled it added everything again restarted the program and again movies wont display. Any help would be great Thank You

Hi,
please check our welcome thread for this user-2-user Forum first and help to provide as many info as possible:
http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/38203.page

It would be helpful if you could also describe more detailed what you do and how your environment is organized (e.g. where are the files located - NAS, local HDD, USB....)

Thx for the reply. They are on a local HDD they are all backups of movies each in its own folder. They scan add and play fine but when I exit the program or switch to Cinema mode they all go away and I'm back to the Add Movies to the Library, with instruction on this generic page with a button at the bottom of the page saying Add Now. I can click on Videos, Photos, Music and they all work fine. I have no problem accessing any of these files. They are also on a different HDD.

NOTE: See the image attached at the bottom of this post for reference!!!

What's the movie format? Make sure it is supported by PowerDVD, otherwise, you need transcode the video format before transferring to powerDVD.

I am experiencing the same problem. I had Powerdvd 13 loaded and all my movies were displayed. I updated to Powerdvd 14 and now my movies do not display. I have downloaded the most recent update. I have deleted the movie folder and readded it to Powerdvd 14. The only thing showing is the add movies to the library screen. They all display as videos. Currently installed is PowerDVD 14.0.4704.58. My movies are stored on drive M:\Movies with each movie in its own subfolder. Thus the movie 16 Blocks is stored as m:\Movies\16 Blocks\16 Blocks.m4v I currently have 1785 movies with a total of 4,068 files, including .actor, for a total storage of 2.69 TB. I have a second system with PowerDVD 13 loaded and the drive mapped to M: from my main computer and it displays all the movies under the movie tab. I have gone through the settings and have not discoverd anything different.

If I click on the drive under My Computer they all display with covers and they play.

From the Information tab in Player Settings (Why can't I cut and paste this?)

Player information:

Player region code: not specified

Current drive f:\

Title region code: not available

Subpicture attribute: not available

Hardware information:

Processor: Inter(R) Core(TM) i5-4430 cpu @running at 3000MHz

3DNow! technology: Not Detected

.... Not Detected

IA MMX technology: In Use

IA sStreaming SIMD extensions: In Use

IA SSE 2: In Use

Video Accelerator: DirectX VA (Not in Use)

Multispeaker audio device: Not Detected

S/PDIF output device: Not Detected (This is interesting because I am connected to a Denon Amp with 7.1 sound through HDMI and MediaPortal recognizes it and plays correctly)

Running Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center 64 Bit

16.0 GB

I am sure it is something simple.

Thanks for taking my question.
