I don't know what you talking about. Are you trying to prove that is is not a religious name? You are wrong. Majority of the Hindus are very sensitive to their religion and they're not going to like this.
I was not questioning the
origin of the word at all. I was just pointing out some of the other current
uses of the word - on shop fronts and websites, not buried away in the coding files of a piece of software where barely anyone looks.
I also wasn't being derogatory about anyone's beliefs. Simply pointing out that if anyone is offended by the use of the word you've described then there's a great deal more about which they'd need to be even more offended.
