Video out of sync with audio.

Hi,

I recorded gameplay using bandicam and recorded approximately 38 minutes worth of audio and video. This was saved as a .avi.

I have played the video (unedited) and the video is fine and there is no out of sync issues.

However when I go to trim the clip or preview it about 5 minutes in the audio becomes out of sync with the video. (The video speeds up). I'm not sure why this happens as I have said it runs fine in windows media player.

I have the preview quality set to high full HD, I've tried changing it to low and it makes no difference...

Even if I have not trimmed the clip this still occurs.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Mac

HI mac_1151,
Please provide more information.
1. The MediaInfo on the video you're editing,
2. A screenshot of the edit Workspace with your project insitu.
3. A diagnostic of your PC.
4. What build of PowerDirector 13 you are using.
These four bits of information will give us the data we need to assist you further. There is a guide, please seek out, Part A, B, E, F & J, here's the link: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/40225.page

My impression is you have a high bit rate video which your graphic card is struggling to process while displaying a heavy resource hungry video editing software. The problem is the video, more than likely it has been recorded at too high a bit rate. You may also have shadow edit files being generated... just a guess on the last one. the latter would affect your computer to function/display video. Playing video outside the program does not mean it'll play in the editing software... Remember the words "resource hungry", if you have limited resources, your PC will struggle.

Dafydd

Managed to get it to work miraculously.

Bandicam is real annoying...

I'm looking into a new GPU as well to increase FPS when recording!

Thanks again!
