Hello nikolo,

AudioDirector 5 can successfully import and produce audio files (WAV etc) with 8 channels (7.1). MediaInfo from produced file attached.

With the video files I've tested, ADR seems to read the audio only as stereo.

I'll do some further testing and seek advice from CL on this question. In the meantime, FormatFactory can easily extract/convert the video to a 7.1 audio file.

Videos with 7.1 audio imported into PowerDirector:
(a) display properties as stereo
(b) will not play the audio track - just video

Just as with ADR, 7.1 audio only files play correctly in PDR & properties are displayed as 8 channel.

There are production options for 5.1, but not 7.1 (as far as I'm aware).

so what can i do with an mkv file with TRUEHD?can i convert the audio?extract audio first and convert to AC3?with audio director can i extract the audio from avideo file?
