Hi I've just upgraded my Pd 12 ultimate to Director Suite ( with PD 13) .
Having been impressed with the trial version of ColorDirector, I was keen to get to grips with CD 3. It's looking good so far but the one thing that appears to be lacking from the set up ( in my humble opinion ) is the ability to import completed DowerDirector projects into ColorDirector.
I am aware you can do it the other way around, but my background with video production has been all about "get the editing correct and only THEN finish off in audio post, colour grading.
I don't know,it just seems wrong to spend time on colour grading shots that you may drop in the final edit. I'd much rather complete the final edit then spend more time in final post production.
A the moment I just go through the one shot at a time route which is taking more time than I would like I maybe missing something obvious here, I suppose I'm not used to all these separate tools to be able to perform editing.
I need to point out, that this is my only "grump" about this product as I'm more than happy with what ColorDirector does ..... maybe if it worked the same as PhotoDirector and had all the same functions but that would be too much to ask for

Life is full of surprises and you are always learning, so I'm ready to learn some more

Just thought of one more thing (don't laugh) cos I'm in England, ColorDirector should be ColourDirector

Cheers I just want to edit and make pictures, walk my dog and go fishing.

DOH
Just thought of one solution...

1. Finish editing in PowerDirector THEN create a Packed Projects folder.

2. Import Packed Projects folder into ColourDirector and finalize colour grading.

Have yet to try this out
