Copy and paste keyframes

Hi

I'm getting pretty desperate with this program. I haven't used an older version before and am not sure if this is normal, but I can't copy and paste certain amounts of key frames. I can only copy the whole layer attribute or a single key frame attribute to an existing key frame.

But I need to drag and drop just a certain amount of many keyframes that I have created so I can add stuff in the middle and try different things.

I can't believe this isn't possible and no one has ever brought this up (as I'm not finding any info on that) so I'm wondering if my program is just buggy.

As the German support is really really useless and the forum without any action I'm hoping for some answers here.

I only have about a week left to get my money back and I will have no choice about that If there is no solution for this.

Thanks for your help!

Robert

Well anything. Nothing of that is possible.

How does it work? By rightclicking the key frames? By marking and moving them? How exactly does the option show?

Im on Windows 8.1 64bit btw.

I also noticed other bugs. A major one was eliminated by some update and the other one I can work around, so nothing major but the key frame problem now.

Two ways to copy/paste keyframes:
1. Select the clip on timeline, you will find copy/paste keyframe attributes in context menu, it's for all attributes.
2. Select the clip on timeline, then click "Keyframe" button on tips area to Keyframe Settings, you can select particular attribute here to do copy/paste.

You can right click a keyframe and duplicate previous or next keyframe.
You can right click a clip and copy keyframe attributes and paste the keyframe attributes on another clip.

These are the 2 options I use and if I understand you correctly you are using these options but want to be able to select certain keyframes and only copy and paste the selected ones. I am not aware of a way to do that, but I am by no means a master of PowerDirector. Mike B.

Thanks for all answers.

Mike got me right. I want to select only certain key frames.

For eg: I got 30 key frames on an object that are timed together nicely to some audio beats, then I decide to cut something out in the middle. I usually would mark all my keyframes that dont fit anymore and put them back until it fits the object and audio perfectly again just like before.

But not being able to do that makes it a total mess for me, as I need to count each single space between the keyframes again and again so the audio beats to the object make any sense.

Now imagine that needs to be done maybe 10-20 times because you want to find out whats looking best for your vid and your day is over....for me that prog is a total waste without that option.
