Overlap clips; crossfade greyed out
[Post New]
How can I get crossfade to work when I overlap 2 clips; it always seems to be greyed out when I try it. Michael

Transitions apply to adjacent clips on the same track.

To crossfade between different tracks a fade up on one and and fade out on the other can be employed, using several methods...

One would be to double-click a clip (or select it and click MODIFY), then scroll the left pane down to the FADE IN/OUT choices. Check the appropriate box. The keyframe dots on the timeline can then be scooted left or right to achieve the desired crossfade. And the track overlap might be adjusted as well.
