The new computer has a 1TB drive (same as the old which is partitioned to C:/, D:/, E:/, & F:/. The D:/ currently holds the recovery partition). I intend to do the same with the new. I was going to get my tech son to clone the all the drives from old to new, but I just realised this maybe not be possible due to different OS. Any way a lot of programs may not run due to the different OS, but it would be nice if I didn't have to install PD12 from scratch. Currently the program is installed on E:/ drive.
I also am in the middle of an edit which I will have to transfer to the new computer. What would be the best way to run it on the new, considering I have the titles, transitions, etc on old computer, do I lose any of those opening the project on the new.
Sorry for the long winded post, but I want to sort out any problems before they happen. I can save the project to a portable 1TB USB3.0 drive. Would this help?
Thanka in advance. IanB
