Fortunately I am a religious fanatic when it comes to backups and cloning, so I am ok and can go back to PD12.

PD13 works mostly, nice 4K HEVC output, looks good. Trying to make a 4K MP4 file looks awful some files look good others are very distorted.
No hardware acc. used.

PD12 , there is no action on the timeline, files can be added but not played.

I should have known better than to buy so soon!

Hmm. I installed the trial 13 and my 12 is still working properly.
The trial does have however some limitations, it might not generate the same issues:

This is especially weird:

Importing and producing H.264 video files is only supported on Windows 7/8 systems or hardware platforms offering independent H.264 encoding and decoding

Since this was all screwed up I deleted PD12 and PD13, took some doing to clean the registry and remnant files all over.

But got a clean PD13 install and all looks well, so far.
