Editing film transfers done at frame rate 23.976 in PD 11

I have to edit a lot of 16mm film that was transferred at 23.976. When I try to edit a clip I get the error message that the frame rate should be change to 23.97.

Can I change the Preferences to 23.976? I don't see that option in PD 11. Can I edit the clips at 23.97 or will they be out of sync with the sound track?

Is frame rate 23.976 available in PD 12 or 13?

Thanks
Charles

Consensus here is that the warning can be ignored. Turn it off in EDIT|PREFERENCES|CONFIRMATION.

Sync should be good. But in general try to avoid Mp3 audio if possible as sync can be problematic with some incarnations of that format.

That option is not available in Powerdirector 11.

It is available in Powerdirector 12 and Powerdirector 13.

I guess you're saying it's time to upgrade :

Is there a page of comparable features I can look at? All I can find are sales pages which lists a few pages and then says "and much more..." A lot of the features that are advertised I don't need, like more digital effects.

There is a chart of comparison of the versions of PowerDirector 13.

Hmm but no comparison between 12 and 13. Do all of the versions of PD 12 and PD 13 support the 23.976 frame rate? Or is that one of the items in the "format support" chart?

The comparison of PD 12 versions should be the same as the current PowerDirector 13 chart.

PD 12 and PD 13 both have 23.976 Fps in the timeline rate selection.

Thanks I'll upgrade next month. Again, from your response it doesn't seem to matter which version of PD 12 or PD 13 I upgrade to (ultimate, ultra or deluxe). I presume they will all have the 23.976 frame rate.
