Is my CPU too slow
[Post New]
Hi,

First of all, thanks Dafydd for your reply earlier.

My computer is a notebook Acer Aspire 7740 G,
Video card Ati mobility Radeon HD 5650 Graphics 1 Gb
RAM 8 Gb
Processor Intel Core i3

Version PD 12 Utra 12.0.2930.0

Gopro Hero 3 camera and JVC Everio GZ HD620 camera

Do you think my computer is not strong enough?

I liked the programm so much during the trial but i didn't really do actual things with it.
The preview freezes a lot and the whole programm blocks often.

I read that there is a 30 day refund. I'm considering it.
But do they refund even its me who didn't check good the recommended requirements?

What do you think I should do?

Thanks

Hi Olivia,

I don't think that PowerDirector freezing at times is caused by your hardware configuration. It's most likely attributable to software compatibility issues. That's a very complex topic. Some of the basic precautions include updating all device drivers and closing as many other applications as possible before running PowerDirector…

Good luck!

I agree with bolda, it's a complicated topic. I will add, however, that if you are editing Full-HD quality H.264 and MPEG2 Profiles, and 2K, 4K,etc., Cyberlink recommends Intel Core i5/7 processors. You can get a refund for whatever reason or no reason, just as long as you do it in less than 30 days. I won't tell you what to do, but as you edit more, you will get more creative and want to do different things, therefore the demands on your PC will only increase. As a result, freezes and crashes will increase and you will become frustrated even more. I know from experience. I personally was lucky enough to be able to afford a new computer recently and I am glad I purchased one because it makes editing easier and more fun. I hope this helps.
