PowerDirector 13 demo - NewBlue Titler missing?

I've been trying the Title Room in PD and it seems alright. But it doesn't have a proper kerning option: the ability to shrink or expand the space between characters. I use this a lot to justify text in my projects. There is a text spacing option, but it doesn't have very fine increments and you can only expand, you can't contract.

NewBlue Titler Pro can apparently do it, but I can't find it in the demo. Is it hidden somewhere or does the demo not include this? Also does NewBlue Titler 1 have a keyframing option? Titler 2 does, but I can't find info on Titler 1.

thanks

Hi Prizm

I don't know about the trial software.

When I opened Titler and went to the web site I got this

http://www.newbluefx.com/helpfiles/TitlerPro/Win/id_contents.htm and more specifically for Power Director here:

http://www.newbluefx.com/helpfiles/TitlerPro/Win/getting_started_cyberlink.htm

You are probably more familiar with what you want to do so perhaps you can read about the features.

Yes, there is some ability to modify the text spacing but it is sort of rudimentary.

Hi Prizm -

According to this - http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/trials/powerdirector-ultra/download_en_AU.html - NB TitlerPro 1.0 is the same in the trial as the full version.

You can keyframe many aspects of the title, but you need to check Turn on Keyframing under the Object tab.

Steve - "Rudimentary"? True - Titler Pro 1.0 doesn't have the same features as versions 2.0 & 3.0 (like lighting effects) but I wouldn't describe the text spacing, resizing & reproportioning in that way. It's certainly way less "rudimentary" than what PD users have had previously. Different strokes, I guess.

Cheers - Tony

Thanks for your help guys, I ended up buying PD13 anyway. I found Titler Pro now in the Title Room, and I can see it has an option for keyframing.

thanks
