Oh....I've had a good laugh this late evening....thanks, Bohn!

Now I can't get the old song "don't mess with my toot, toot" out of my head.
Some write it tu,tu/toot,toot or tut, tut.

Have fun!

Hi Pax,

Sorry if I upset you.
But I just don’t see how it’s possible for the Freeze Frame and Snapshot tool’s basic function (of capturing a single frame), are able to adopt new or different properties in some computers, and not in others. Thus, I don’t see where my post to jerrys was “inaccurate”, regardless of the computer used. So I asked you to show the difference.

Also, perhaps you’ll agree that I can’t really be held responsible for what you assume or trust that I was “really” addressing in a reply, when my words clearly didn’t reference anything other than jerrys statement that he didn’t know of any other way than Freeze Frame, to a achieve a single captured frame.

If your PD9 works differently than how another member may state that their’s does, and you wish to share your results, then just post your differing results with a screen capture attached. But there’s no need to characterize another member’s reply (directed to someone else), as being “inaccurate”.

And just to complete the record. When using the Freeze Frame tool in my PD9, whether or not the Add A Title And Effect When Using Freeze Frame is checked or not checked, has absolutely no bearing or effect on Gap creation. This on both my XP and i7 rigs.
However, if in Preferences, one places a checkmark in Link All Tracks, a whole new set of variables are introduced. But you first have to be aware of whether or not one’s Link All Tracks is currently checked, and what influence the Link All Tracks option has, and is intended to have on the timelines.
Yes, it can indeed be a bit confusing at times.

But again, I’m sorry Pax.
I was just defending my original proposition, when I saw a proffer of inaccuracy.

The original question was how to get rid of a gap, and we've now spilled a lot of (virtual) ink talking about how to avoid creating one in the first place.

I think this thread has been chewed on enough -- it's lost its flavor.

Now, if we want to go around tut-ing each other, that's another matter.

Hm... I remember reading a book called Tut, Tut, Mr. Tutt. Something about an elderly lawyer who was always out-smarting the bad guy.

Is that off-topic enough for you? Jerry Schwartz
