Power producer 7 seems to have a problem with recording with mike.
I have not been able to use my mike as it starts pulsing and has an echo which can not be deleted. I use my mike on Skype and have even resortes to recording clips in Cool Edit as MP3 but would find it a lot easier if the mike worked properly. to date I have updated all drivers and as the mike works well with other programs are at a loss as to what to do
Thanking you for any help you can offer.

Hi Peter,

You are still in the wrong forum, this should be in Power Director (version 6 and above).

What version of PD7 are you using, the echo and static noise has been an issue with PD7 since its release, but build 2105 has corrected the problem, even then I was still getting static noise which I finally corrected by changing the attributes in Profile Setup to 44.100 kHz 16 Bit Stereo 172 kb/sec. and I now have perfect voiceover recording.
Update to build 2105 and try different Attribute settings

I am also new to PD7. I have more or less succeeded with the video editing but now need to add a voice over (in edit mode). I have made several attempts but only manage to get a squeaking noise at the start of the track and then nothing. I’ve read all the PD7 instructions but it assumes that everything actually works. I’ve also checked the mike through the PC’s voice recognition system. Does patch 2105 address this problem ?
