Hello!

This is my first time editing a video on my computer. The videos I worked with where in MPEG-4 and I just finished my project. The big problem is that nothing happens when I press Start in produce. I want the finished product to be in high def MKV or H.264 but none of them works. I have no clue why Is there some hidden rule that MPEG-4 can't be converted to MKV / H.264 ? Another thing that bothers me is that the videos look great on my tablet, which I filmed with (1080p), but on my computer after i produced with the highest quality in MPEG-2 or AVI it looks like crap..

Also another problem the videos I imported are filmed in 30 fps but even when i changed the settings to 30fps (NTSC) in the program i get a warning where it says my settings are 29.97 fps..

I hope someone can help me..I loved working with the program, but sadly, I lose all motivation when I'am so close and yet cant finish my project like I intended.

Hi,
RE: 29.97/30fps notification, ignore it.
Open PDR12,
Go to Preferences/Confirmation and uncheck the first "Always prompt...." message and anything else you want to.
I have only 6 selected.

I would like to know more on what you're doing but first I think you should uninstall/reinstall, apply the activation code and then apply the latest 2930 patch.

I have just carried out an mp4/mkv Produce and haven't met with any issue. I'm guessing you've run into a poor installation problem. Please come back after you've carried out the task with an update.

This is solved by downloading and installing the "Windows 7 Codec Pack" from any number standard sites, then change the following setting in the settings app: Start->codec settings->Advanced Codec Settings->LAV (32 or 64 bit, depending on your system)->formats tab->check the "h.264" Codec box and Apply/OK.

There's also a Windows 8 Codec Pack available.

PDR 13 also can give the same error, presumably solved similarly.

MPEG-2 or AVI isn't the best. go H.264 MP4, M2TS, MKV...
always render at same bitrate as the original video bitrate or little bit higher...

if you haven't found the answer yet then try this thread.
