My power director 11 does not do a very good job cleaning the audio of a .mts file. I thought maybe I could extract the audio and clean it in audacity but I can't even import the file.
Any suggestions?

Why can you not import a .mts file?

What is the source of your .mts file?

This is the PowerDirector 12 forum, the correct forum for PD 11 is

PowerDirector previous versions:

If I understand you added a file in PD and can not extract the audio file to audio only?
After adding the video in PD, right click with mouse and select Extract Audio.
After treating the audio in another software, should add to the video, mute or delete the original audio.

To facilitate the editing of the video, Produce, save the video, use SVRT to be fast, is to join audio to video.
