Failures video that appears only after saving in video file.
[Post New]
I have copied VHS and miniDV tapes to DVD in some cases has mainly VHS Tape instability noise image etc ...
At issue in PD12 in the timeline cut all this ruin incluisive checking frame by frame when needed.
On the last job I spent a lot of anger, the tape was really very bad and so I spent a lot of time editing.
The point is that in this preview perfect everything after save to video file 10 to 20% of failures even in this video.
I made rederização with SVRT, another format besides MPEG2, changed the quality of the preview until I came to install PD10 who also did the same.
My conclusion is that the Preview of PD is very good or bad why not show some of the defects of the original video.
This error happens already for some time, only now very evident.
This is great for a normal player, but an editor for video leaves something to be desired I think.

Has anyone noticed this? have any sujestão than done.

I have noticed that the preview is not an accurate view of the final video.

What you see in the library is closer to the actual video, that what you see in the timeline preview.

You are working with Video tape, that is often a really hard job. The better capture you can get from the tape the easier your editing is.

The best capture device is one the TV station broadcasters used, a Time Base Corrector.

Grass Valley makes some capture devices that work well.

Have you tried to use the "Content Aware Editing" to do some rough cuts/editing? .

I stopped to capture video on your PC, have used Philips or Sansung recorder.
I have Capture Card Play TV Pro Ultra another FM ENLTV. I prefer to do with recorder.
At issue whenever possible use SVRT to avoid recoding.

Good point, I'll check to see how it looks.

When I test with CAE take long so I did not remember most of this resource. AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3

I also use a VCR/DVD recorder. Mine is a Magnavox.

The one fault is the only 4.7 GB DVD, Magnavox does not support a Double layer DVD.

Experimented with a 1 minute video, took 6 minutes to scan, worse than not cut the noise and timing failures VHS picture, then I consider "Content Aware Editing" is useless for this kind of work.

I finish work, I added the video already edited in PD10 showed that more errors, new cuts and solved the problem.

I think the library view of the clips runs directly on Windows' video presentation layer, so it is downscaled to your preview window smoothly. Assuming that the preview isn't actually skipping frames, have you tried setting the preview size to 100% instead of "best fit" ?
