make wonder woman plane look like it is flying outside a blimp-solved

I have a video on the top track which is a view looking through the window of a blimp. On the second track is a png file of wonder woman's plane. I want the picture of the plane to rise up and then be seen through the window of the blimp as though it is flying outside the blimp. So the plane should slowly become visible as it rises upward. However, it looks like it is inside the blimp. See wonder woman plane picture 1. After it rises upward it will look like wonder woman picture 2.
I tried making a mask for the lower one forth of the picture to cover the plane before it rises upward but then the mask also covers the plane as it moves upward.
Thanks for any help
HT

Hi HT -

Why do you do it to yourself?

If the video was shot from inside the blimp on a tripod, so it's a completely steady shot, you might be able to get away with it.

The easiest way I could think of was to use an overlay image of the blimp's windows, with the flyover clip behind it... then you could apply a motion path to WW's plane between them.

I shot the clip in the example from a helicopter flying over Kata Tjuta in the red centre of OZ. They didn't have any blimps.

Cheers - Tony

Thanks Ynotfish

I kept trying to accomplish what I wanted with a mask but it didn't work. I took your idea and added one step. I had to make a still of the flyover clip because there was too much movement for an overlay on the video. I then simulated a little flight movement.

thanks,
