Hi there,

Just a quick one. I viewed the tutorial for creating menus. I had to write down the steps (1 1/2 A4 pages). I will probably get lost trying to follow my hand written notes!
I don't suppose any of these tutorials are available in PDF format?

Thanks.

Hi Ian26 -

That would need someone to write the PDF. The tutorials are scripted, but a useful How-To/ReadMe would need screenshots and annotations. The answer to your question is No, but it's not a bad suggestion... but then you need to consider that the PDtoots people get paid zip, zilch & zero for making toots. It all takes time & energy.

Have you read the Help file under Creating Discs > Editing Disc Menu Properties?

There may be something of help in this book (PDF) too - http://www.cyberlink.com/stat/events/enu/2013/Q3/pdr12-book/index2.jsp

Cheers - Tony

Thanks Tony,

That's OK. I thought that would be the answer, but no harm in trying. And it would be a labour of love!

Congratulations on your well thought out tutorials. Yes I have the book from the link you sent, but nowhere as concise as your tutorial. I'll give the help file another go. I did make some custom menus in my previous editor, or should I say the DVD compiler,(DVD pro2).

PD12 is a new direction from my previous editor (EditStudio6), but I like it. Having a new camcorder that is HD 16:9 and uses SD card instead of DV tapes is great.

Thanks again IanB

You can use Powerdirector as your video editor, produce the video, then pull your finished video into DVD compiler to make your DVD menus.

It is OK to use other tools to get the job done.
