Do I have to save some folders and files before I uninstall the trial version....so they are available to the Paid version when it is installed??? And if so, how? Rename the folders and then rename to previous names???

Not sure how to handle this.

You will not lose your files or projects.

Uninstalling Powerdirector Trial does not remove any data. Just the program itself.

Yes. you can use the projects and files you created in the Trial in retail version Powerdirector, with one provision, the New retail version must be the same or newer version than the Trial.

I.E, Retail PD 12 can open earlier version files, but older version Powerdirector cannot open projects made in a later version.

I was anxious, so I went ahead and saved two different file folders containing info for my project.

Deleted Trial, installed Paid, and it told me when I tried to import my project that it was made on a later version. So I downloaded and installed a patch and it worked. Found, as you said, it retained all my files. Better safe than sorry.

My thanks again.
