Hello all. I have recently bought a samsung 3d tv and I have an iso of avatar 3d retail. (it is the only 3d movie I have) I can only see the movie in 3d if I click the 3D button on the Powerdvd menu. Is this the correct way to watch 3d movies with powerdvd?
My question is, is powerdvd converting the movie from 2d to 3d?

Hi Michael,
So the 3d button is for converting 2d to 3d and if the iso is correct I would not have to click on the 3d button?
Sorry I just want to be absolutely clear on this.
Cheers

Hi,
pressing 3D button enables 2D>3D conversion if the 2D Version of the movie is playback.
When playback the 3D Version of the movie it enabled the native 3D mode

What program do you use to mount the ISO file, Stone 2 ?
Cuz my movie won't playback in 3D. And if i use that 2D>3D option , the result is not good.
Did you use the 2D>3D option ? Or did your movie automatically playback in True Bluray 3D
I want to watch the real 3D so bad -*-

Hi, I used DAEMON Tools Lite. At the movie menu i chose 3d version but I still have to activate the PowerDVD 3d button to see it in 3D.
Hope this helps

But my movie is 3D from the start. It doesn't have menu to select 3D mode. So it's 3D playback. But mine was playback in 2D.

When you selected 3D mode in the movie's menu, did the movie turn into 3D like blurry or something ?
The question is, how is 3D playback looks like ?

So just to be clear

The 3D button:

1) turns on 3D for 3D blurays
2) turns on 2D -> 3D conversion for 2D content

and how can we tell which it is doing? whether its correctly identified 3D content, or if its just doing its only half-hearted attempt at making it 3D
