Won't finish producing movie
[Post New]
I am producing a movie in MPEG4 - I just did one and it worked. I tried another and it gets to 99% and won't finish. It says Producing Movie...99%. I have paused and resumed...nothing. I have ended with task manager and tried again - it quickly gets to 99% and won't finish. I have rebooted computer...same results. Any body know how to fix this? Jeff

Hi jeffcooper777,
More information is required on this one.
I'll point you to a Guide and please attached, a screenshot of your Edit Workspace (project insitu), a diagnostic, data on what you're selecting and where you are producing the media file to - the destination folder's local address.
Guide: Part A, B, E & F : http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/29701.page
Members will then be able to assist you.

I was having the same issue: created one MP4 successfully, and now it will go through 99% of the creation process, and "stalls". I would see the file in the destination directory, but when you double-click on it, it won't play because the file is still "open". After 3-4 minutes of normal video production activity, I let it sit for 2 hours - nothing happens. When you cancel, the created file is deleted.

Details: PowerDirector 10 on Windows 7.

Solution: I installed the latest update, and that seemed to have fixed it. I have generated an MP4, made some changes, and then successfully generated another... and another. Side benefit of updating: video production seems significantly faster.

Good luck!
