PD 12 Freezes when updating Menu to Burn CD

I recently installed PD 12. Version is 12.0.2027.3. It freezes with the Win circle of death when I try to burn a CD. Says updating Menu options and stops at 89%. Cannot shut down program with CAD. Have to turn off computer. Are there patches I should install? Has anyone else had this problem?
It worked initially. I added some buttons to the Menu after that and now it will not work. Is there a way to remove the Menu and start over? I'm stuck after spending a lot of time making a video I don't want to lose.
It worked once with the new Menu after numerous tries, but now it will not work at all.

Any suggestions? I'm just learning how to use this program. Intel i7-4770K,Asus Z87-A,Actic Freeezer7,16GB,240SATA,3TB WD,Win7 Pro

I am curious as to why you would burn a video to a CD rather than a DVD?

It could be that your computer is running out of resources. Would you be kind enough to post a dxdiag file (instructions in sticky thread at top of the Forum)? That would enable us to rule out any hardware or dated driver issues.

The current build of PD12 is 2726. You should update.

I typed CD, but I was burning to DVD. I'll try the patch first. If that doesn't work I'll post the file'
