Clips slow down and audio becomes out of sync when I edit or adjust color

Hopefully someone has experienced this problem and found a solution.

When I edit color, or add a color template the clip will slow down and the audio will become out of sync. I have no idea why this is happening. Any guesses?

I have a new PC which was custom built for editing and I'm using Windows 8.1.

Thanks,
Christopher Rivas

Does this occur only in preview - or on the final production as well? If only in preview, try lowering the PV resolution.

Also, considering that your PC was "built for editing" ... turn off HD video processing (shadow files), if that choice has not already been made. The toggle is under EDIT|PREFERENCES|GENERAL tab.

Hello Borgus1,

Thanks a lot for your response. I apologize for my late reply. Your advice worked perfectly. Really appreciate your help.

I've been a Mac user for years but needed a new computer for video editing. Decided to go with a custom PC since the cost was so much less and wanted to use PowerDirector as well. Cheers. Thanks,
