Hi all..just thought I would give more info on the issue that I previously encountered, this is what I did:

-Opened PD
-Opened a video
-Send a audio track to AD3 to edit
that's when the issues described in my previous post occurred.
(PD Ultra 12.0.2706.0)
(SR VDE140108.01)

Now , I noticed that if I opened AD3 and edited the same track (without PD being opened) there was no issue
Hope this clarifies it better......Thanks

Hello Daddyz,

Welcome to the AudioDirector forum

I see it's been a day or two since you posted your question. Perhaps you've overcome the problem - or perhaps not.

Here, I'm unable to properly test your issue because ADR4 opens by default.

I suspect it's related to the fact that when you open ADR through PDR, a "lite" version is opened (without all the same options). Starting ADR separately opens the full version.

Though I haven't experienced your problem, I do notice considerable lag when opening ADR through PDR.

Test:
1. Open PD & select clip > click on Edit Audio\Audio Director - start timer - video clip open in ADR - stop timer = 49 seconds
2. Open ADR - start timer - after ADR has started, open file > navigate to same video clip & import - stop timer = 21 seconds

I don't know whether that helps you, except that it's clear there's a difference in how ADR functions depending on how it's accessed.

It appears that you've installed the two pieces of software separately (not part of a suite). The first thing I'd suggest is to completely uninstall AudioDirector using Revo Uninstaller to remove registry items. Reboot, then re-install ADR. That may resolve the problem.

If not, we'll have to look for other options.

Hey markw and PIX...sorry I did not get a chance to answer ......
I will definitely try what you suggested.
On the other hand , I was reading in the forum regarding PD version build 2706 having issues....so I updated to 2726 and while I was at it, I also updated AD3 to build 2713....now I tried it with a short clip and it seems to be OK.
I will (when I get a minute) try it again more extensively and will keep you up to date to as it's working .
Thanks again...
