Thanks for the translation, though I was under the impression that DE didn't stand for Delaware but German, he.
Since you speak both languages, did you never want to offer translation subtitles?
What I work on is a holiday movie about a trip to California, Nevada, Arizona and a bit of Utah. A lot of the spoken word is hard to distinguish from the background noise due to the built-in microphones and environments like a motor boat or a tram in Las Vegas. Some parts also need translation, like some TV news about the government shutdown that was at the time we wanted to visit some of the national parks.
But I guess I'll create the subs with an external authoring software for now. That also allows me to overlap them where needed.

I did not realize that I had open a question in the DE area of the forum. I was just looking at the recent issues when I spotted yours. I do apologize for the mistake.

I have never used Sub-Titles. I watched a tutorial on them today. that it is neat, but I will probably stick with the Titles.

Would you like for me to possibly be of some help in translating some of the audio for you? If so, can you post the video somewhere I could easily have access and download it? I do not mine helping friends.

Have you tried using Photoshop, Paint.net or Gimp to write your text in on a black background, then white lettering's? Then save it as a JPEG file. One does not have to the colors I mentioned. Any font and effect will work as well.

This way you can import the JPEG file on to any video track. Can also use it as PiP track depending on how you want to use it.

Yes, I've seen the options, but the authoring options are quite limited. So I will use Aegisub (http://www.aegisub.org) when the cutting is done and everyone is satisfied with the result. (Otherwise I'd have to edit the timing in the subtitle file again and again).
