Custom Picture In Picture Masks?

I was wondering if it is possible to create custom PiP masks. (the masks you can choose from when modifying a PiP track)

I'm not satisfied with the current ones and would like to be able to make my own. I want a mask that will cut off the left half/right half of the PiP. I noticed the files were under C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDirector\Masks, and were .msk files. Could users possibly be able to create their own masks?

Hi Jose,

Cyberlink have already been asked to include additional masks, namely, left, right and centre, hopefully these will be available in the next build.

As to creating your own masks, this is proving extremely difficult, as some of the characters used in the .msk files are in Chinese.

Does anyone know if there is a follow up to this this thread?

I would also like different masks for a project which I've done. I wish there was a way to control the boarder of the rectangular mask. The one's provided always cut off a portion of my video I want displayed or show regions which I want covered. Q9300 2.5 GHz

Hi,
Robert and I tried to create masks and we failed primarily for the reason Robert gave - characters used and the need to write it in a specific manner.

PD7 2519 has the masks Robert and I tried to create - CyberLink added them to a patch update of PD7.

Hi Jose,

I thought you might like to know I built a tool to convert a bitmap image into a PowerDirector 7 mask file.

See this thread....
