Is this PD 12 a Trial version?

I am not the GoPro Expert. There is one user in the forum that shoots motorcycle videos while riding, he is very expert on producing videos from the GoPro camera and editing in Powerdirector.

Gopro has a video conversion software the comes with the camera. That software allows Powerdirector to handle GoPro video.
At least that is what I have seen on the forum.

You don't need to install all the patches, the latest one includes all the changes.

BTW, I have a HERO3, PowerDirector 12 works with its clip perfectly.

Hi

I'm not sure why you're having this problem. GoPro use the AVI file structure.

I use the GoPro Studio Software - go to their website and download it for free - to do a quick edit and then Export my footage.

I then load this pre-produced footage into PD to give it extra zing!

Good luck and happy editing Happing editing

I use a hero2 and hero3 BE, never had an issue when importing directly or through gopro studio, in PD 11 and 12.

Have you imported video from another camera? All good?

I'd consider reinstalling. Others may be able to provide a better resolve, but its always worked for me.

Hi,
I have the Hero 3 Black edition (latest) and I just stick the memory card into a Usb reader directly to computer and transfer the files to an External Hard drive creating a folder with the "date taken or subject matter" and import directly into PD12 Ultimate with no issues. This to me is the easiest way and PD12 I can do modifications. But having said that I do not shoot with a maximum resolution usually medium (don't like fisheye aspect)

Also using GoPro Hero 3 Black with PD12.

My raw GoPro clips are 1920x1080, 60fps and I can import them into PD12 without issue.

What GoPro resolution are you using for clips giving you trouble?

@CubbyHouseFilms

Does pre-producing with GoPro software give you better results ? ( I assume you just export straight to these giant AVI files?)

Hi

Yes, I find by pre-producing in the GoPro Studio software and then importing these files into PD is easier on my computer.
