Basic Question: How to uninstall software & reinstall on another computer?

I got a new computer to use for video editing because the one I installed PD12 on takes forever to render. I need to install PD12 on the new computer. I looked thru FAQ but did not see this question (maby it is too basic) Do I just uninstall the software on one computer using Win7 control panel, then reinstall on the other? Does uninstalling on one then allow installation on the other with the product code as though it were a new installation? I am assuming you can only have the software installed on one computer. Intel i7-4770K,Asus Z87-A,Actic Freeezer7,16GB,240SATA,3TB WD,Win7 Pro

Hi,
Yes you can only have PD installed to one computer but if you have the Installation programs and registration material you can instal on the new computer and remove from the old one. PD requires Internet connection and in addition some modules require an activation within 30 Days to be available to you.

Yes I have a retail version and the CDs. Should I uninstall the software from computer 1 first so the activation code works on the second cmputer? Intel i7-4770K,Asus Z87-A,Actic Freeezer7,16GB,240SATA,3TB WD,Win7 Pro

I wouldn't just don't use the original computer until tou get the second computer to recognize PowerDirector and registered as you only have a limited 3 of installs.
