making sections transparent

Hi all,

I've shot some videos with a mobile phone and these are shot with a wrong angle. I can rotate the video canvas, but this results in black areas left and right of the video (using 16:9 video format). Zooming to cancel out the black areas is no option so I was wondering: I need to insert this video in another video as a PiP in a corner. Is there a way to make the black areas in the inserted video transparent??

How about clicking MODIFY, then the MASK tab, and UNchecking "maintain aspect ratio." Mask the undesired area and click save. Then key the result as a PIP into the main video. Appeared to succeed here.
