PRODUCE Screen: Remaining and Produced N/A

Good afternoon again, folks. A couple of days ago, I produced a 2:08 HD video (m2ts) files in H.264 format (1920x1080/60i), which is what my Sony camcorder records in. There were some enhancements used so I decided to pre-produce the project and then use the pre-produced file in a separate project to do the burn. It all went well.

My observation though was that in the PRODUCE screen, the "Remaining" and "Produced" indicators were listing "N/A". Can anyone else confirm this observation? In previous versions of PD, the indicators were constantly updated during the PRODUCE process.

Have a great day.

N/A's now appear when SVRT is used.

Thanks, Jeff. Certainly some of my clips were not enhanced, so I guess if PD12 doesn't have to re-render everything, from what you say, I understand that those indicators will remain "N/A".

Good to know. Thanks for your expertise. All the best in 2014.

I didn't mean that the "N/A" are a normal conditions. They are abnormal. Your post did not indicate how to replicate. For me the "N/A's" only appear if you are using SVRT during "Produce". If you use CPU rendering or Hardware video encoding during "Produce" you get the typical file size estimate count up and count down indicators. You should also get the same for SVRT but it appears to be a new anomaly in PD12 v2420.

Thanks for your clarification, Jeff. I guess it is an "enhanced feature" of this Build (2420). Hopefully Cyberlink will deal with this anomaly, and also with the scroll-up title designer clunkiness.

Have a great day.
