Best Backup method

Hi folks,
I just bought a new HP desktop and finally have all my programs installed and registered.
There has been an issue with this new beast rebooting without warning, not good at $1,200 US.
So, in the event I must send this back for service or replacement, what is the best method to backup?
I have P2Go9 and also PowerBackup, I can use either.
Is it possible to copy EVERYTHING including registry in such a manner to restore it all to a new machine with the "press of a button",
or will I eventually need to re-install all my programs, one by friggin' one?
If I DO copy everything, might I bring my unknown issue with me into my new or repaired machine?
Thanks for any input.

Power2Go is capable of making a "bare metal" restore set, so long as you have certain other software (from Microsoft, described in the help file) installed; you have the platinum version of Power2Go; and the hardware is the same.

It will probably tolerate some hardware differences, but I really don't know. I use a different product. Jerry Schwartz

You can probably just create a Windows back up image. I believe that this is free together with the license that you purchase.

The Windows method is also a good possibility, out of all 3 (P2Go & PBk), which will give me an exact copy of all my data, and restore all my installed programs?
With Power2Go 9 the system recovery function is requiring me to install an ADK, and I can't seem to backup to anything but a disc, rather than to another drive. Still wondering about the function of the ADK, I'll guess I'll read a little deeper into it, but it seems odd that my program is asking for another program. That last part doesn't strike me as unusual. Microsoft owns the code. Just because they are letting you use it for free right now doesn't mean that they couldn't stop tomorrow. They have a lot more flexibility, and a lot less hassle about maintenance, than if they signed a licensing agreement with CyberLink. Jerry Schwartz
