Hi Folks.
I have an Hitachi DVD camcorder that is superb. Anyhow, when I insert the mini Ram disc into my new HP Pavilion computer and drag and drop the the contents onto hard drive and then try to import the "movie" into CyberLink Power Director 6 (latest version), only the first segment/clip of the video is imported, not all of the clips and the whole "movie" like it does in Nero Ultra 8.

Is there a scene/clip identifyer that is disabled or something?

All that appears to be in the timeline or play in PD-6 is the first clip (say 45 seconds or so) of a multi-clip (12 or so) "movie" (about 20 minutes) recorded onto the mini-DVD Ram disc

I just finished a project in which I was given several DVDs to extract video and did it with success. Although I don't have a mini-DVD disc, it seems like all discs would work in the same way. Put the disk in the drive, go to the Capture portion in PD, wait for PD to detect the available devices, and click on the disc at the top of your screen that says capture from DVD (last disc in the row of devices to capture from). Then on the bottom left, click on the clips you want to import and press the record button.

Hope that works for you.

Cool. Thanks for the tip. I just tried to open or import the files from the Ram disc that was inserted in the dvd drive on my laptop, instead of actually "capturing."

I'll try that when I get home tonight.
