I'm trying to integrate my pc into my home cinema setup. I have the pc connected to my av receiver by spdif and I want to use PowerDVD 6 as the decoder as this has been my favourite pc player for several years. But when I try to play 5.1 encoded avi files, I do not get surround sound. When I go into options, audio, spdif is not available as an option. It is when I play dvd's however, and it is decoding DD and dts sound very well.

Is there an add-on or some other solution that will do what I need with PowerDVD?
