I used to buy the boxed versions from my local home entertainment shop.

Now I purchase the download version as it's easier and cheaper! I also save a back up of the program onto my external storage drive, just in case.

Do you need to purchase an extended download? I wasn't aware that service was available.

I do believe there is product activation period from time of download but I have read that others have extended the period by contacting CLs customer support for a new serial/product key number.
