Remove/mute background sound on DVD menu template

I'm testing a couple of the standard DVD menu templates ("Cinematic" and "Interactive" are two examples) to create a DVD of a photo slideshow. I want the DVD menu to be silent (no audio or background music / sound) when inserted into a DVD player or a computer.

I have deleted the background music, but when I generate the DVD, there is still music looping on the main DVD menu. How come?

Also, will a DVD created and burned with PD12 play on a Apple Mac OS system?

Thanks,

I got the same results you did until I unchecked the box to not play the opening video. Try that; I don;t know if it will still give you what you want. As for why? I could only guess and probably wouldn't be correct.

If the MAC has the ability to play standard DVD, then the DVD you make should play on the MAC.

Stevek, thanks for the prompt response!

That did the the trick (checking the "Remove menu opening video"). The main DVD menu appears with no audio.

Thanks!
