I shoot 1920x1080i avchd video with my Panasonic camcorder. I want to set a custom profile in PD 11 for produced videos. There is an option for progressive video or interlaced. My end goal is to produce a bluray disc to play on a standard bluray player to view on my 55inch HD1080P Vizio TV. Even though my original video was interlaced Should I set my custom profile to progressive?
thanks,

Woops, I made a mistake. The progressive and interlaced options are not available for avc and mpeg-2. They are available if you choose mpeg4. I won't be using mpeg4.

I just looked at AVC and MPEG 2 and both gave me an option to use progressive or interlaced for a custom profile in Produce. __________________________________

Hi Jaime

Look at my screen shots. I don't see the option for progressive for avc and mpeg 2, only for mpeg 4.

thanks

Thanks, I found it. Do you think I should produce in progressive since my TV is 1080P

I always use progressive unless there is a reason not to, but a lot of newer players convert to progressive anyways. Personally, if it does not hurt the quality, I would use progressive. __________________________________
