How do I create the illusion of a check being added to a checklist?

Hi, I need to display an image of a checklist and then add an animated check to each of the boxes. Rather than the check just appearing as a whole image, I want it to look as though it is being drawn on.

I've been using Camtasia recently which has a special Callout section for this stuff and now I can't think how to do it in PD.

Can anyone help?

Hi Helen 222,

I’m quite sure that this isn’t "exactly" what you are wanting.
But this animated Checkmark Motion Object template
[correctly re-sized and aligned to your project, layered on a higher numbered extra track(s)],
might suffice until you find a better solution.

You can’t really judge it by the preview in the DirectorZone.
Downloading and installing takes mere seconds.
And if not useful, deleting it takes even less time.

It might work for you if you give it a try in your project.
If not, sending it to your Recycle Bin, is just a two click maneuver.

I've done it 2 ways, both with "animation" software.
You can do it in a free software called "Route Generator".
Or...
you can use the drawing module in PowerDirector.
A few attempts to get used to using the mousie for drawing may be needed.
In either software, you may not get what you might describe as a perfect check-mark, but it would be animated.
In the end, you'll save time with using Krank's solution, but maybe have less fun.
