Is it possible to produce a portion of the project rather than the whole thing?
I want to send a clip sample to the client. I didn't want to wait for the entire movie to produce.

Thanks. In the process of installing on Win 8.1 ....

Certainly, save your project complete, select a part of the project on the timeline, click Ctrl + C (Copy) menu file / New workspace (clean timeline) Ctrl + V (Paste) Produce video AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3

Almost misunderstood you with "save your project complete". I thought your were telling me to produce it, create new project, insert the entire produce movie and then trim it.

But I figured out what you were saying. Save the project so I don't lose it. Then copy a section, then create a new project, then paste the copy in the new project.

That works. Great. Thanks. In the process of installing on Win 8.1 ....

Sounds like PD will only produce the entire project currently on the timeline. Would be nice if there was an option to mark a start and stop range on the timeline and just render that portion. Sony Vegas Movie Studio uses that approach. If you want to render the entire project / timeline, you just select the entire project.

This was emplementado in PD12, selects a region that should be yellow (golden) and click the button Produce Range, automatically goes to Producer, save video file in only the selected part. AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3

Thanks! Glad to hear that this feature has been added with PD12. Unfortunately, I've only had version 11 for four months and not really wanting to pay another $65 this soon.
