Reorganizing Content Library

Either this topic isn't covered, or my searches haven't been creative enough. I have just finished a rather large project on PD11. The "movie" is a combination of video and still pictures that goes for about an hour and a half. So the content library is large. Since this was my first major project, I wasn't very smart about where I originally had the pics and vids placed. I just pulled them into PD and used them. So they are actually scattered in several libraries on my hard drive.

Now that I'm done with it, I would like to go back and collect all the content into one library. Easier to back up, easier to find. I learned the hard way that since PD uses links to original locations to find content, you can't just move the files somewhere else. If you do, PD can no longer find them. Is there some feature to help you pull all the content you have used in a project together in one library?

Thanks for any advice.

Absolutely!

Just use File > Export > Pack Project Materials

Here's a tutorial that shows the ins & outs of that http://youtu.be/D2CYLYIynB0 & provides excellent advice about workflow.

Perfect. Thanks Tony. Exactly what I was looking for, just couldn't find it in the menu. And also many thanks to cputb1 (did I get the name right?) for doing the great tutorial vid.

You got it right. You'll also find cputb1 in the forum under his other clever disguise - Cranston.

Glad it helped!

Cheers - Tony
