The original artist would argue that it is NOT the same piece if you trim it and add effects. The program agrees with that.
Actually the information is still there as a music tag but it needs to be re-identified. I opened Wave Editor and cut out part of the audio and saved it as a new file. When I looked at the audio tag (with another program), all I got was the name if the edited file. I used that program to go out to the web to identify it. It identified it properly.
How are you looking at the audio tag?
