Playing movies copied to hard drive with PowerDVD

I purchased PowerDVD so that I play movies that I ripped (legally purchased DVDs) to my hard drive. I used DVD cloner and it seemed to work well. I was doing a full copy and not using any of the compressed versions. Now I recently ripped another DVD and instead of showing up as a single movie, I get 5 to 10 separate video files.

Any help as to what I am doing wrong?

I am moving overseas and I really wanted to save shelf space and shipping costs.

Hi,
in order to playback the DVD structure from HDD you must ensure that the ripping contains the full DVD structure and not only parts of it (like t Video_TS folder only)

Thanks for the information.
The software creates a top level folder with a short name of the movie, e.g., the Doors. Then there are two subfolders Audi_TS and Video_TS. It appears the audio folder is empty and the Video_TS folder contains 11 files: 2 .bup files, 2 .ifo files and 7 .vbo files.

Does this sound like a complete rip?

If I am getting a complete file structure, why is CyberDVD not linking the individual files?

It has been a while since I was ripping videos as I typically just use a DVD player. But I am sure that my testing when I first used the product confirmed that I had no problem navigating to and playing these movies from my hard drive. Now, I get a folder view, click on the folder and just see the individual files inside. I can click on those and watch individual segments. It seems like my difficulties began when I upgraded my version of Cyberlink from 11 to 12, but honestly it has been so long, I can't actually recollect.

Any advice?

Make sure you use folder playback and then choose the folder with the movie name (e.g. The Doors), not a file or subfolder. See here.

Duh, thanks a bunch. I guess I had found that before, but I was sure not recollecting it.
