Hi, I bought power director 11/ultimate etc. couple days ago, and I'm trying to create professional scrolling text, or just text, to fade it in and out, I see in this video at 1:15 into the video this guy has this fade option, but I do not see it in my program: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cc_8coQDdng

Hi rytis -

Bill was using PD8 in that video. In PD11, the fades and other text motion effects are under the Motion tab in Title Designer.

There are dozens & dozens of starting & ending effects.

Cheers - Tony

Thanks, yea I saw that, but I did not see fade in and out in that section. I will try to look closer, it had all kinds of swirl ins, zooms etc. but no fade

It's like ynotfish showed Starting Effect / Fade (In)
Ending Effect / Fade (out)

Another option applies to Fade transition at the beginning or end of the text.

Note: Transition FADE works for text added in video track

Photo 1, text fade, each text box has its effect (fade) the other.
Note: The rooms effects (fade) only appears when you select a text box
Photo 2, trasition fade is applied to all texts equally, if you have more than one text.

rytis -

Can you please post a shot of what you see under the Motion tab in Title Designer?

Playsound's workaround is a good one (for a single title), but you really shouldn't need to do that.
